A diverse range of lesson plans are available to suit the different needs of riders at EPIC. EPIC coaches focus heavily on flatwork and equitation within the lesson program to ensure that riders gain the necessary skills to obtain success.
EPIC does have a very small selection of its own lease horses available for part-board, and you may contact one of our coaches to discuss this further. If EPIC does not have a suitable horse we will assist you in selecting one that will be suitable for your needs.
EPIC travels extensively to shows across Canada and the United States. In 2025, for example, EPIC riders showed in the United States at WEC Ocala, Kentucky Summer Series, the Oaks California, Wilsonville Horse Show Oregon and Paso Robles California. In Canada, EPIC riders focus on the Gold Circuit, showing at Thunderbird, Spruce Meadows (Indoor, Summer Series, and Octoberfest) and Rocky Mountain Show Jumping. Each year offers something a little bit different based on the needs and goals of each horse/rider combination.
As EPIC is a show barn, riders are expected to show at a minimum of three shows per calendar year, though individual training plans are discussed annually with athletes/parents as part of the season preparation.
EPIC offers complete customization packages for both horse and rider. On the horse side, massage, chiro, and acupuncture treatments are regularly scheduled and available based on individual needs. Vaccines, dental care, farrier, and vet treatments are generally coordinated by EPIC staff to ensure complete records of care are maintained. This is especially important for horses showing internationally, as record keeping is an essential part of the travel process.
On the rider side, care is given to ensure that athletes maintain both their mental and physical health. This means that EPIC has access to a wide range of specialists (e.g. nutritionists, sports therapy practitioners, mental health experts, academic coaches, etc.) that can help riders achieve success as they work through the challenges of an intense riding schedule.
At shows, there are varying degrees of support that are offered. Typically this is arranged prior to departure so that services can be arranged upon arrival.
